Meet Our Staff
Gene Wilder
Pastor
In 2017, Gene Wilder came out of retirement to serve as our bi-vocational pastor. Prior to his retirement he served churches in Tennessee, Georgia, Texas, Maryland and Virginia. Dr. Wilder has degrees from Carson Newman College, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a gifted musician and often provides music for our worship services. He has written several books and has been published in numerous periodicals. Dr. Wilder and his wife, Pat, have two children and three granddaughters. In addition to his music and writing interests, he enjoys travel, reading, landscaping and golf.
Eric and Chelsea Butler
Grounds Maintenance - Church Secretary
For over a decade, Chelsea Butler has assisted our church in its administrative work by serving as our church secretary while her husband, Eric, cares for our landscaping and grounds. Both are vital to the smooth operation of our church. They are proud parents of Willow, an energetic two year old, who has become the "Church's Sweetheart." When not involved in church ministry, Chelsea works as a hairstylist. She is also a gifted sign crafter. Eric works for the Knoxville Utilities Board and is an avid hunter.
Linda Wright
Facilities Manager
Linda Wright's value on our staff can't be overstated. While she faithfully works to keep our facilities clean she does so much more. She's a skilled artisan when it comes to repair, maintenance, plumbing and carpentry. When she's not working at the church she serves as an independent contractor and her work is highly regarded throughout East Tennessee. In addition to her staff duties, Linda is also our Church Treasurer and one of our Trustees.
